Our Mission
Our mission is to provide love, hope and encouragement to the children in the Foster Care system.
Helping make trash bags for our foster youth’s belongings a thing of the past.
Since the organization’s inception, we have joined forces with several organizations to help make a positive impact in the community. With the assistance of Children’s Fund of San Bernardino County, we secured a $5,000 donation to purchase luggage for the kids in the foster care system. This partnership resulted in the purchase of nearly 400 suitcases.
Today, through the generosity of individual donors, more than 1,000 suitcases have been donated, and foster care children can shed their dependency on carrying their belongings in trash bags in favor of brand new pieces of luggage.

From birth to age 18, our goal is to provide luggage, a custom luggage tag and note card to all.

From Bags to Belongings volunteers consist of luggage tag and note card creation, assembly of tags and note cards placed on and inside luggage, conducting inventory and distribution.

With more than 10,000 children in the foster care system in San Bernardino and Riverside County alone, there is much work to be done.
From Bags to Belongings is a Grassroots Effort
We aim to leave a positive, memorable impression on a child receiving luggage. We encourage individuals to be a part of a child’s village by writing a note of love, hope, and encouragement. These particular notes are then placed inside each piece of luggage. Unique luggage tags of love, hope, and encouragement are also included on each piece. The more notes and luggage tags we can make, the more love we get to spread to our youth.
